New detailed implementation rules for mobile power supplies for portable digital devices published

According to a recent announcement of the China Quality Certification Center (CQC), the detailed implementation regulation for Mobile Power are updated as follows:
- Implementation rules: CQC11-464116-2016 "Portable Mobile Power Security Certification Rules" has been revised.
- New standard GB/T35590-2017 "General specification for mobile power supply for portable digital devices for information technology" for China Compulsory certification (China CCC) published.

Tesla`s super factory being established in Shanghai

As reported from Sina Auto that on January 7,2019 Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter: "I look forward to today's Tesla Shanghai Super Factory (Gigafactory) broke ground!" Currently, Musk also revealed through Twitter that The first phase of the Shanghai plant will be completed this summer, and the Model 3 model will be mass-produced at the end of the year. According to Musk, the Shanghai plant will include Model 3 and Model Y, and the vehicles produced will be sold only in China. detailed implementation rules for lighting appliances revised

CQC (China Quality Certification Centre) recently revised the detailed implementation regulations for lighting appliances: CQC-C1001-2014 China CCC (China Compulsory Certification) .
The main contents of the revision are:
Annex 3: China CCC Certification Key Components and Materials for Lighting Appliances - List of Key Components and Materials for Luminaires: Add Class B key components "rail adapters".
Annex 3: China CCC certification key components and materials for lighting appliances - LED modules use DC or AC electronic control devices to remove the key components of the Class B "control port", the key component "photocoupler" classification changed from A to B, key elements The device "transformer for LED control device". The classification changed from B to A.
This revision of the rules are relevant for the already issued CCC certificates. The natural transition is allowed. The applicant can complete the certificate conversion work in combination with product changes.

Magna and Renesas Electronics develop new 3D surround system

Magna and Renesas Electronics are working together to develop a more cost-effective 3D look-around system tailored for entry-level and mid-range cars. The two companies said that the application of the new camera has enabled many car companies to apply 3D camera technology to more product lines. A European car company will be the first one to integrate the 3D surround system into its future vehicles, but neither has disclosed the name of the car. The technology combines Magna's 3D surround camera system with Renesas Electronics' system-on-a-chip to integrate the camera into the vehicle's computer system. The system provides the driver with a 360-degree vehicle environment, and Magna said that the aerial view of the current parking assistance system has also been significantly upgraded. China CCC technical expert group (TC25) annual meeting 2019

From January 23 to January 24, 2019, CQC ("China Quality Certification Centre"), as the secretariat organisation, hosted the annual working meeting of the China Compulstory Certification (CCC) Technical Expert Group (TC25). Zhang Wei, Director of Certification Quality Department of the Certification and Supervision Department of the SAMR ("State Administration for Market Regulation") , Wang Junfeng, Vice Director, and Zeng Guangfeng, Deputy Director of CQC, and representatives of more than 30 expert groups from nearly 20 organisations including Beijing Customs, Dalian Customs and China Automobile Certification Center (CCAP) attended the meeting. The participating experts carefully checked the correspondence between the customs HS code and the China CCC catalogue products in 2019, compiled the corresponding relationship form and it will be announced on the website of the CNCA ("Certification and Accreditation Administration") to ensure the import supervision and customs clearance of products in the China CCC catalogue, and provide strong support for entry verification and technical support.

Audi and Hella cooperation in the development of LED lens module

new GB standard for Steel structure fireproof coating products released

GB 14907-2018 "Steel Structure Fire Retardant Coatings" approved by the National Standardization Administration Committee was issued on November 19, 2018, and began to be implemented on June 1, 2019. In order to strictly enforce the China Compulsory Certification (China CCC) requirements of product standards and ensure the safe and reliable use of steel structure fireproof coating products, the notice is as follows:
All steel structure fireproof coating manufacturers should complete the relevant work of design, process, procurement and factory inspection capabilities in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB 14907-2018 "Steel Structure Fireproof Coatings" as soon as possible to ensure the quality of steel structure fireproof coating products after the implementation of the standards and meet the new standard requirements.
From the date of implementation of the new standard, the production and ex-factory of steel structure fireproof coating products shall be strictly in accordance with the requirements of GB 14907-2018 "Steel Structure Fire Retardant Coatings". Products that do not comply with the new version standards shall not be manufactured after June 1, 2019.
The original certificate of the certified enterprise shall be promptly carried out for certificate conversion. China Certification Center for Fire Products will release the certificate conversion requirements in the near future, and please pay attention to the company in a timely manner.

China Imported motor vehicle manufacturer name and vehicle brand updated

The World Manufacturing Plant Identification Number (WMI) is the first part of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to indicate the manufacturer of the vehicle. The WMI shall consist of a 3-digit code that ISO authorizes the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) to maintain and verify (see GB/T 16737-1997). International Standard for Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) recommends that the manufacturer indicate the assembly plant at the 11th digit of the VIN, i.e. the assembly code. The assembly code and the world manufacturer identification code (WMI) together, the location of the vehicle can be determined. Here you can find the latest list of imported motor vehicle manufacturer name and vehicle brand in China. This list will be updated permanently. The last update was on 29 December 2018.
