657 new and revised GB Standards released

Details
According to a recent press from the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC),  657 new and revised GB Standards ("GB", "GuoBiao") were released on 28 December 2018. Here are GB Standards which are relevant to automotive products.
 
GB/T 22038-2018 Test method for static grounding pressure distribution of automobile tires (replaced GB/T 22038-2008)

GB/T 36986-2018 Vehicle braking performance dynamic detection method (new GB Standard)

GB/T 36987-2018 Automobile anti-lock braking system (ABS) performance testing method (new GB Standard)

GB/T 36990-2018 Car grease classification (new GB Standard)

GB/T 37123-2018 Automotive electric drive air conditioner (new GB Standard)

New GB standard for power tools and household equipments published

Details
The new GB standard GB 4343.1-2018 "Electromagnetic compatibility requirements for household appliances, power tools and similar appliances Part 1: introduction" was released on May 14th 2018. It will be implemented on June 1, 2020, replacing GB4343.1-2009. The relevant requirements for the implementation of the new GB standard for power tools and household equipments of China Compulsory Certification (China CCC) are as follows:
 
- the new version of the GB standard is relevant for household equipments including household refrigerators and food freezers, electric fans, air conditioners, household electric washing machines, vacuum cleaners, skin and hair care appliances , electric irons and rice cookers.
- Until June 1, 2020, applicants may voluntarily choose to apply for the China Compulsory Certification (China CCC) according to the new or old standards.
- From June 1, 2020, the certification body will according to the new standard to implement the China Compulsory Certification (China CCC) and issue a new standard version of the CCC certificate.
- The follow-up inspection is based on the standard version listed in the valid certificate.
- For products that have been certified according to the old standard, enterprise can do the deviation tests carried out by the laboratory and the CCC Certificate shall be replaced with the new standard version after passing the tests.

Shanghai Mobile and Huawei building the first railway station 5G indoor digital system

On February 18, 2019, Shanghai Mobile officially started construction of 5G network at Hongqiao Railway Station. This will be the first railway station to build a 5G indoor digital system. It is planned to complete 5G network deep coverage in 2019. By then, the majority of passengers will enjoy high-speed, convenient 5G network services. This move will lay a solid foundation for Shanghai to build a “double-gigabit broadband city” (both mobile communication networks and fixed broadband networks achieve Gigabit city coverage). The solution that Shanghai Mobile and Huawei have come up with is 5G DIS – this product developed in Shanghai is a 5G indoor product that is commercially available in the industry, and has already been shipped in batches. Supporting 5G commercial construction needs, 5G DIS is undoubtedly an important choice for operators. The industry believes that the 5G base stations deployed by many manufacturers are mainly concentrated outdoors, and the 5G indoor digital system begins to layout, marking the continuous coverage of 5G full scenes is about to become a reality.

China CCC Products Supervision and Inspection Results Announced

Details

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on the Certification and Accreditation of the People's Republic of China" and the "Regulations on the Administration of Compulsory Product Certification", the Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) together with the local certification and supervision departments have supervised and inspected China CCC certified products in the field of Wire and cable, home appliances, lamps, circuit breakers, toys, automotive parts, etc, covering 2,682 batches of products of 1,700 production enterprises in the field of production and distribution (including e-commerce). Upon inspection, it was found that 232 batches of sampled products had non-conformities involving safety items and did not meet the relevant requirements of China CCC Certification. According to the relevant provisions of the China CCC Certification, the relevant certification body has processed the revocation of the CCC certificate for the above-mentioned certified products that are not qualified for the safety project.
